Around the world, people are celebrating Ramadan 2021 with great sanctity and respect. Ramadan is one of the most blissful months. Allah opens the door of mercy and forgiveness for the believers. Hence it is upon the believers to make the most out of this opportunity to earn Allah’s graciousness and favor. Here are some of the do’s and don’ts of Ramadan.

What you should do in Ramadan: -

Ramadan rules are known to every Muslim that he is not supposed to eat, drink or have sexual activity while fasting. However, there is a lot more than these basic Ramadan rules for beginners. During Ramadan, it is best to indulge in piety and social welfare. Praying five times a day is obligatory upon all Muslims. During Ramadan, people must offer non-obligatory prayers such as Tahajjud to earn great rewards. Reciting Quran is one of the basic Ramadan rules for beginners. Not just reciting but try to understand the meaning of the Holy Quran. It is very important to understand the Quran and implement its teaching in daily life.

Apart from this, spend as much time as possible in remembrance of Allah. Allah loves those who spend their time in Zikr of Allah. The last five odd nights are a great chance to earn Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. Apart from personal worship, reach out to those who are poor and destitute. Help those in need in any way you can. Ramadan is a month of spreading goodness. Hence make your contribution in Ramadan as much as possible.

What you should not do in Ramadan: -

Allah shackles the devil in chains during Ramadan. This indicates how much Allah is particular about performing good deeds and staying away from vices during Ramadan. Some people ask, “Can you listen to music during Ramadan?” Music is forbidden in Islam. Therefore you must not spend the holy Ramadan timings listening to music, watching movies, or indulging in any activity that is not allowed in the religion.

Ramadan serves as a great opportunity to do away with bad habits. While in a state of fast, you must not lie, backbite or fight with others. You must not hurt someone with your actions or words. Ramadan is a month of patience and perseverance. Hence refrain from hurling abusive words or showing anger to others.

Everyone must try to abide by these do’s and don’ts of Ramadan as much as possible. Especially during these harsh pandemic times, we must try to earn Allah’s blessings and stay away from his wrath.
